Matt's 1st day was Aug. 24,2009. We had a bit of a hecked morning. We missed the bus (it arrived way earlier than what the schedule said) and we were almost 5 mins. late. At the end of the day he didn't get off at his stop he got off at the 2nd stop just a few blocks from our house and walked home...noone was home because we were all at the stop he was suppose to get off at. His 2nd day was better. He likes his teacher and we are hoping to have a good school year.
Mady was baptized on July 5th in Carrizo Springs,TX at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Her Godparents were my younger sister,Kat, and Uncle Bud, Ken's uncle. Despite it being a scorching hot day outside everything went as planned and Mady did wonderful...she didn't cry til it was all over. She was tired, hot and hungry so who could blame her.
Mady turned 5 months 07/28/09. She can't quite reach the floor but she does enjoy sitting in walker for a few minutes at a time. We just got back earlier this month from our wonderfully too short visit in Texas. My mom and Matt just arrived just a few days ago. Mady was 4 months on 06/28/09. We were in Laredo on our way to another baptism for baby Jacob. His parents are Rick and Jessica Pineda.
Mady turned 3 months on May 28th. She is able to balance herself up a little better, takes shorter naps during the day (not my favorite change), eats 5 to 6 oz. with rice cereal added to her bottle, babbling more, is able to focus on more objects and even follows us with her eyes. She is sleeping longer in her crib. Mady still ends up in our bed and some point during the night and she takes up most of the room in our bed. We love watching grow each month and can't wait to see what else she will do next for her 4th month.
We enjoyed our Memorial weekend. The community pool (which we just happen to live in front of) also opened. We took the kids and needless to say Mady did not care for the water. It was a little too cold for her but Ken and Matt seem to enjoy themselves. Mady has started "talking" a lot lately. So we all have had several conversations with her of course our least favorite is when she wants to talk at 5 am.
Our little rosebud turned 2 months on April 28th. She is smiling more at us and can hold herself up pretty well. Her pediatrician said that Mady was strong almost like a 4 month old. Her weight (11.4 lbs) was in 50% for babies her age and her height was in the 90% for her age. So we are both guessing she will be a tall thin girl...model maybe? Enjoy the pics!
